Guaranteed Volunteer Position

Our project is funded by the family and friends of Volunteer Petén, and the volunteers who participate in the program.  Volunteers contribute financially to the program and maintenance of the  organization.  Right now, we can only offer our program to a maximum of 15 volunteers at any time.  We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE that volunteers who are serious about making a difference to spend time fundraising for their project before coming to Guatemala.  In addition, we fundraise on behalf of our hosts to provide supplemental financing to help meet their many, on-going and special needs. But you benefit as well: As an extension of our organization, if you are a U.S. taxpayer, you receive the benefit of our 501-C3 status; you can deduct the cost of your service program fee from your taxes.

Group Programs and Group Rates

We can provide quality programs for groups of 5-15 volunteers.  Not only do volunteers participate in our regular programs, but we also focus on team building exercises and activities to enhance a group's volunteer experience.  We can also provide Jungle excursions at discounted prices for groups.  We will be happy to work with any organization to specifically design a program for any group of volunteers, as well as design field trips and presentations for specific interest groups.  Please write the director of Volunteer Petén at volunteerpeten@hotmail.com for specific questions on groups rates and group programs.
