The theme for 2005 is INFORMATION...therefore, our major projects will focus on getting all the wonderful little facts and details roaming inside our heads out of our heads in transform them into something that all can benefit from.  Here are some of the projects lined up for 2005:

As our library project grows, so does our need to provide a larger area for activities and books.  Donations for this project will go to renting a facility for the library and cultural center, furniture, repairs and improvements to building, and materials for activities.

BACK

Pond Project

Project Cost: $1,000

In order to enhance our ecological park, we are adding a large pond for educational purposes.  Project will include digging the pond, building a dock, landscaping, reforesting, and introducing wildlife into the pond ecosystem.

School Projects

Project cost: Varies

We will continue to work with all the schools in the San Andres community helping them with small projects such as simple maintenance, painting, establishing libraries, installing water systems, landscaping, and reforestation.BACK

Tree Nursery

Project Cost: $2,000

One way we can continue to help the community of San Andres economically is by creating small businesses to create sustainable employment. By establishing a garden center and tree nursery in the ecological park, we can utilize many of the resources we currently have in the park, increase the number of visitors that come to the park, and create employment for community members.
