AGRICULTURAL PROJECT
Project Started: January 2004
Expected Termination Date: December 2004
Total Cost: Q2,000.00
The agricultural project has taken a new
form thanks to long term volunteer Davey Owens. The idea of the
project is to create a working organic farm to be used primarily as an
educational tool. We will also begin experimenting with
different natural fertilizers and repellents. We are also
gathering all pertinent information on agricultural crops, soils, seed
beds, nurseries, harvesting cycles, and best management practices for
the Petén.
